Bowling Green: Civil War Encampment

[ October 23, 2011; 2:30 pm to 4:45 pm. ] Starting at 2:30 p.m. Sunday, the parking lot and lawn of the historic Carter House on North Church Street becomes the site of a Civil War re-enactors’ encampment.

The event is inspired by the Community Reads books, “The Widow of the South” by Robert Hicks and “Confederates in the Attic” by Tony Horwitz.
