Join the Mooretown Monument Restoration committee for a Memorial Day Ceremony. The event will feature the VFW honor guard and re-enactors, and include special music, guest speakers, and wreath laying ceremony. This event corresponds with a similar dedication in 1897.

Cleveland: Reopening of the Soldiers’ and Sailors’ Monument

[ June 5, 2010; ] The Soldiers’ and Sailors’ Monument in Downtown Cleveland commemorates the American Civil War. The Reopening Event will celebrate the completion of the physical restoration of the Monument to its 1894 Victorian Splendor that began in 2008.

The monument is open daily, Monday through Saturday, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
