Opening July 1st is The American Soldier: A Photographic Tribute From the Civil War to Iraq, a traveling exhibit that runs through December 30, 2011, plus two longer-term exhibits: Follow the Flag and Over Here, Over There.

Canton: Civil War First Friday Event

[ September 2, 2011; 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm. ] Join the Canton Museum of Art for their free first Friday event,  with reenactors. While you are there, view their exhibit entitled  ”A Nation Divided: The Heartland Responds,” which features  exhibit of Civil War photo enlargements, stereographic images viewed in 3-D, costumes and memorabilia.

Details: Museum is open Tuesday- Wednesday 10am-8pm, Thursday-Friday 10am-5pm, Saturday 10am-3pm and Sunday 1pm-5pm. Admission [...]
