Description

The Ohio National Guard, Ohio Statehouse and Ohio Historical Society organized a muster ceremony on April 10, 2011 at the Ohio Statehouse. This event marked the start of the sesquicentennial by recreating the mustering of troops for the 1st Ohio Volunteer Infantry, who hurried off to Washington D.C., after being sworn in at the Statehouse in 1861. The event will also include Civil War and modern military displays.
