Contributor Note: I am related to David Bower who served in the 105th OVI, Co. I during the Civil War. He was wounded in the leg and survived.

Andrew Bower, my 5th great grandfather
Jacob Bower, my 4th great grandfather
Moses Bower, my 3rd great grandfather
David Bower, my 2nd great grandfather.

The Bowers were from York County, Pennsylvania. David was born in Adams County, Pa. His family moved to Mesopotamia, Ohio. David married Sarah Hamilton of Meadville, Pennsylvania. They also lived in Siverly, Venango County, Pennsylvania near Oil City. They are both buried at Fairview Cemetery in Mesopotamia, Ohio.
