The Bowers were from York County, Pennsylvania. David was born in Adams County, Pa. His family moved to Mesopotamia, Ohio. David married Sarah Hamilton of Meadville, Pennsylvania. They also lived in Siverly, Venango County, Pennsylvania near Oil City. They are both buried at Fairview Cemetery in Mesopotamia, Ohio.
