Description

Ohio troops played an important role in the Battle of Perryville, Kentucky on October 8, 1862. Some 30 regiments of infantry, two of Cavalry and 4 batteries of artillery fromt he state helped to make up Ohio General Don Carlos Buell's Army of the Ohio. The annual reenactment this year on October 3 and 4, also included many Ohioans as these photos show. The Union reenactors portrayed the 52nd Ohio Infantry on Sunday, while the First Ohio Light Artillery, the Statehouse Guns made their presence felt withthounderous volleys.
