I am a civil rights lawyer and a student of american history, with master's level coursework completed with honors in the area of American Constitutional law and specifically papers written on the contributions of several critical American Abolitionists LIke William L Garrison and others from Ohio…

I would like to speak and present anywhere in Ohio, this year, on a variety of topics of the critical and vital contribution of Ohio Abolitionists to the rise of the national anti slavery debate and also, specifically also reference the critical role of southern Ohio lawyer and statesman and Lincoln close counsel and aide and Republican Congressman John Bingham of Harrrison County, Ohio who authored the primary clauses of the 14th Amendment to the U.S. Constitution.

My work is known in the field of modern civil rights on specific topics to many and i have presented lectures to high school students honors classes in Youngstown and given public lectures on the subject.

Former Chair and Dean Emeritus, of the Dept of History at Youngstown State and highly acclaimed Professor and author of Various Books on Ohio Abolitionist Salmon P Chase, Dr. Fred Blue would vouch for my   background and work.

but for this forum, i would like to suggest we open a separate forum and discussion group on the role of Ohio's abolitionist and its role in the political movement in the midwest which gave rise to the Republican party of Lincoln

Hello Richard,

Thank you for your post. I would recommend starting a discussion topic about Ohio's abolitionists within the "Research and Scholarship" forum. It seems like the best place for you (and others) to discuss your research related to abolitionists.

Also, if you would be interested in contributing to our online exhibits or writing an article for our "News" section, please contact me at kkuehling@ohiohistory.org.

Kind regards,

Kristina
