Join the City of Harrison and The Harrison Village Historical Society as they commemorate the 150th anniversary of John Hunt Morgan’s raid through Ohio.
Preliminary Schedule of Events
Events to take place at the Presbyterian Church in Harrison
- 10:30 a.m. – 10: 35 a.m. – Welcome and introductions of dignitaries present
- 10:35 a.m. – 10:55 a.m. – Lecture on the life of John Hunt Morgan
- 10:55 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. – Brunch
- Events to take place in the 100 & 200 blocks of Harrison Ave. (food court available)
- 12:15 p.m. – 12:30 p.m. – Entertainment by Civil War Quintet at the Pavilion
- 12:30 p.m. – 12:40 p.m. – Introduction of dignitaries and cutting of the ribbon
- 12:40 p.m. – 1:00 p.m. – Entertainment by Civil War Quintet at the Pavilion
- 1:00 p.m. – 2:00 p.m. – Reenactment of Morgan’s Raid in downtown Harrison
Events taking place at the City Park on Hill Street
- 10:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. – Civil War encampment depicting life during the Civil War
- 2:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m. – Civil War encampment depicting life during the Civil War

I followed the John Hunt Morgan Trail through Kentucky, Indiana and Ohio in 2009 on a motorcycle. I’m planning on doing it again this year for the 150th, and will plan to be in Harrison on the 13th for the festivities. I live in South Lebanon, OH.
