The Civil War 150th Committee of the Sutliff Museum presents a program commemorating the 150th anniversary of the Battle of Antietam and the public announcement of the Emancipation Proclamation. The speakers will include General Robert E. Lee, Miss Clara Barton, President and Mrs. Lincoln, and a presentation on Civil War medicine. President Lincoln will give a talk on the Emancipation Proclamation and read a short part of it. There will be Union and Confederate reenactors and other materials telling the story of Antietam. The program is being held at the William McKinley Memorial Library, Museum, & Birthplace Home.
Details: Program begins at noon with speakers starting at 1:00 p.m.
