Columbus: Volunteers Needed for Green Lawn Cemetery Headstone Installation

Civil War Headstone Installation
22 headstones will be installed at Green Lawn Cemetery, located in Central Ohio. These headstones are to honor Ohio Civil War Veterans who are currently unmarked. This installation is in connection with the “Commemorating Ohio’s Boys in Blue” program that will take place at Green Lawn Cemetery on July 21 at 10 a.m.
Volunteers are needed to help place stones. If you would like to help with this endeavor, please contact Amanda Nelson, Central Ohio Coordinator for the Civil War 150 Leadership Corps (AmeriCorps).
Location: Green Lawn Cemetery, 1000 Greenlawn Avenue, Columbus, OH 43223
Details: Please bring a shovel (s) and gloves if you have them. If not, Home Depot will provide supplies. If a second day is needed, installation will resume at 11 a.m. on Saturday, June 16th.
