Visit the Wolcott House Museum for a special exhibit. “Hearts and Hands on the Homefront,” opening April 21 at the Wolcott Museum Complex, marks the Sesquicentennial of the American Civil War.
The exhibit provides a rare glimpse into 1861-1865 northwest Ohio, telling its story through the photographs and letters of northwest Ohio soldiers and families. Hearts and Hands also features period fashions and the Maumee Valley Historical Society’s collection of Lincoln memorabilia. Come and share the experience of the Civil War as it was lived by the people who served and the folks who loved and supported them.
In addition to fashions, photos, letters and memorabilia, the exhibit will also feature accessories and tools men and women used during the Civil War period from 1861-1865.
