Base Ball spread across America during the Civil War. Seen as moral booster by both Confederate and Union officers, base ball games where played in army camps and in prisons. The games eased boredom, encouraged team spirit, and were a temporary escape from the horrors of the war. Learn more at the Western Reserve Cup–a vintage base ball play-off featuring four local clubs playing the game using Civil War-era rules and customs in Lakewood Park!
