The exhibit “The Butler Boys: Butler County in the Civil War” will be open to the public on April 29th at 6:00 P.M. Featured in the exhibit will be the campaigns and battles in which soldiers from Butler County participated and the leaders who emerged from the struggle to have an Impact on the county. The exhibit will also feature a timeline of events from 1861 to 1865 and artifacts from the collections of the Butler County Historical society, the Soldiers and Sailors Monument and the personal collection of Dave Casper. A presentation titled “Preserving the Union and Butler County’s Response” will be given by Stanly Wernz following the opening of the exhibit. The lecture will begin at 6:30 PM.
