The State Library of Ohio is hosting an opening reception and free program in honor the traveling exhibit “Forever Free: Abraham Lincoln’s Journey to Emancipation.” Join the library for presentation by Professor Hasan Kwame Jeffries, associate Professor in the Department of History and the Kirwan Institute at Ohio State University and Robert Brugler, who will portray Abraham Lincoln. The night will also include refreshments and music from the Ft. Hayes String Quartet.
Sponsor: The State Library of Ohio is hosting the exhibit in collaboration with Ohioana, Ohio Historical Society, Kelton House, Ohio Department of Education, the Columbus Metropolitan Library, National Underground Railroad Freedom Center, Ohio State University, local historians and others.
