Pataskala: Memorial Day Encampment

[ May 30, 2011; 8:30 am to 4:30 pm. ] Visit Pataskala for this years Memorial Day Program will feature Civil war re-enactors who will set up a Live Civil War Encampment on Memorial Day, May 30th beginning at 8:30 am and remain open to visitors until 5:00 pm.   This camp will be located at the Veteran’s Memorial Site and admission is free.

Georgetown: Lecture “The Battle of Chattanooga Lookout Mountain and Missionary Ridge”

[ March 5, 2011; 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm. ] Join the U.S. Grant Homestead for presentation by Edwin Bearss on the battle of Chattanooga lookout mountain and missionary ridge. The program will open at 1 p.m. with a performance of songs of the Civil War by Deann Kelley. Mr. Bearss is the chief historian emeritus of the National Park Service.
