The Michael J. Colligan History Project presents Professor Lesley Gordon who will consider the fascinating interplay between twelve prominent military husbands and their wives links the home front to the battlefield and reveals what marriage meant to 19th century Americans. Reception to follow. Dr. Gordon is a professor of History at the University of Akron and an OAH Distinguished Lecturer.

To recognize the 150th anniversary of the American Civil War, the Michael J. Colligan History Project invites you to explore this critical period in rebuilding our nation by considering new perspectives on the Civil War experience of Ohio and the border regions.
