The Michael J. Collingan History project, in conjunction with Lane Libraries will recognize the 150th anniversary of the civil war with a discussion of Michael Shaara’s The Killer Angels. Learn about American history from this classic novel. Session one will include a book discussion facilitated by Curt Ellison and Robert Meckley of the Colligan Project and the Miami Hamilton Department of History, and Butler County historian Jim Blount. The second session will feature selections from the movie Gettysburg, which is based on the book, and the conclusion of the book discussion.

To recognize the 150th anniversary of the American Civil War, the Michael J. Colligan History Project invites you to explore this critical period in rebuilding our nation by considering new perspectives on the Civil War experience of Ohio and the border regions.
