Many Ohio communities and organizations are planning to commemorate the 150th anniversary   of the Civil War with programs, special events, exhibitions, publications and more. The Ohio Historical Society has made the Ohio Civil War 150 logo available for print and digital use in order to assist the marketing efforts of these local communities and organizations. If you would like to use the Ohio Civil War 150 logo, please fill out the form below.

  1. Ohio Civil War Genealogy Journal is published quarterly by the Ohio Genealogical Society. We publish a wide variety of materials, including original research articles, transcriptions of documents and records, and Q&A on Civil War genealogy questions that are submitted to us. We have approximately 600 subscribers, including many libraries and societies. A sample issue is available on the OGS website at the address listed above. In addition, we are developing a special section of the OGS website that will be devoted to Civil War genealogy, with some items open to the public and some restricted to subscribers. It will include the full text of all past issues of OCWGJ, research updated since publication, and new items not easily published in print format. Our intent is that this online research center will be our dedicated Civil War Sesquicentennial project.

We would like to include the Ohio CW150 logo in each issue, with perhaps a short news item or announcement in each issue. It would probably be placed on the Table of Contents page, Editors Page, or other location where it would be visible to all readers.

    Thanks,
    Dan Reigle and Susan Lee
Co-editors, Ohio Civil War Genealogy Journal

  2. I am a reporter for The Daily & Sunday Jeffersonian newspaper in Cambridge. I would like to use the CW 150 logo with my stories. (I am working on a story about the CW 150 which will run Wednesday April 28.)
Please let me know as soon as possible.

    Thanks,

    Judie Perkowski

  3. I would like to give you the link to the Illinois Civil War website but the form on that page isn’t working. The security picture is not showing. The website is above

  4. Thanks! I’ll add it to the links page.

  5. I am processing a flyer to be used to recruit reenactors to participate in the Harrison, OH, July 13, 2013 Ceremonial Dedication of the John Hunt Morgan Heritage Trail in Ohio.

This flyer will be used in the tri-state area, Southwestern Ohio,
    Southeastern Indiana, and Northern Kentucky.

The CW 150 logo will be placed on the front page of a tri-fold flyer.

Thanks and let me know if this is permissible.
Mary Lou Smith, President – Harrison Village Historical Society
