“Battles, Bandages and Honor: Dr. Mary Walker”
Dr. Mary Walker is the only woman in history to receive the Congressional Medal of Honor. Dr. Walker will relate the fascinating stories of her life and the men and women she knew from the time she served as a surgeon on the battlefield of the Civil War through her years as a Women’s Activist.

“Fruits of Victory Author Elaine Weiss”
Author Elaine Weiss remembers a special group of women who served the United States in a remarkable way during WWI. The “Farmerettes” were a celebrated and somewhat infamous group who took over the agricultural jobs during the Great War. Ms. Weiss will meet guest and sign copies of her book after her presentation.

A special military pinning presentation honoring local Women Veterans of WWII by the American Red Cross and representatives of the United States Armed Forces.
